Kenya issues three categories of visa as follows:
- Countries whose Nationals do not require Visas to enter Kenya;
- Countries whose nationals may be issued with a Visa on application and
without reference to the Director of Immigration (Visa on Arrival or from Kenya Missions abroad or from online visa application via: www.ecitizen.go.ke.
- Referred Visa: This is for countries falling under category 3 of the Kenyan
For expedited visa application, delegates from ‘Referred Visa’ countries are advised to submit their request to the TICAD VI Secretariat through their Delegation Coordinators.
Delegates are advised to obtain a visa at least one month prior to travel. The visa costs are USD 50 for offline applications and USD 51 for online applications.
All diplomatic and service passport holders attending the TICAD VI Summit will be issued with courtesy (gratis) visa.
Passports should be valid for at least six (6) months on the date of entry and should have at least two (2) unused pages when presented for endorsements.

Yellow Fever vaccination certificates will be required from delegates coming from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission or who have transited through countries with risk of yellow fever transmission for 12 or more hours or anybody from a country currently reporting an active or on-going outbreak of yellow fever.
